As we know it, our earliest years play a significant role in shaping our future well-being. From the very beginning, every experience, conversation, and setback contributes to the subconscious narrative we carry about ourselves and the world around us.
During a recent conversation with a fellow CoolxDad, one father shared a simple statement that has stayed with us ever since: “Outside validation means nothing”
Because when the foundation of a child’s self-concept is nurtured with intention, confidence no longer depends on outside approval.
It begins within.
Every opportunity a child is given becomes evidence of what they believe they're capable of. Exposure to new ideas, non-traditional career pathways, creative experiences, and supportive environments expands what's possible in a child's mind.
And sometimes, believing something is possible is the first step toward becoming it.
That’s why CoolxKids exist.
Not to tell them who they should become, but to expose them to what's possible.
Through hands-on experiences in fields like marketing, design, and audio production, CoolxKids are given the opportunity to explore new interests while building meaningful connections and confidence in themselves.
This July, that mission comes to life through the H-E-B CoolxKids Summer Camp. Empowered by Hoka, the free 4-day, 3 week enrichment experience introduces students to entrepreneurship and creative career pathways while strengthening leadership, teamwork, financial literacy, and communication skills.
